Puppies Available for Adoption

Canines for Change trains service and facility dogs. We have a responsible breeding program to support our service and facility dog training work. Not all puppies are suited to become working dogs, and when that happens, we place them in approved homes as companions and pets only. They are not eligible for service, facility, breeding, or other working roles.

Adoption Fee

Our adoption fee helps ensure that our puppies are going to committed, responsible homes while directly supporting the vital programs that make our work possible. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, 100% of the proceeds go directly back into our programs.

Adoption Costs:

  • $2,000 adoption fee

  • $500 non-refundable deposit (required once you have been matched with a puppy)

Your adoption fee supports: medical care, behavioral training, placement of service and facility dogs, and community outreach

Each puppy comes with:

  • Age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, vet exam

  • Microchip info

  • Early socialization

  • Complimentary 5-week obedience class with our trainer once your puppy has received his/her rabies vaccine

Puppy Placement Policy

Puppies will be placed with buyers in the order in which completed applications are received. A designated Puppy Pick Day will be scheduled once the litter is of appropriate age. Buyers will select their puppy in the order of application receipt. This process ensures fairness and consistency in placement.

  • Yes. If all current puppies are reserved, you can join our waitlist using the form above. You’ll be notified first about new litters, but placement is first come, based on approved applications—not guaranteed first pick.

  • When a new litter comes into the kennel, we notify everyone on the waitlist. Within a few weeks we’ll know if any puppies from that litter will be available for adoption. Families on the list can then confirm interest and apply. Puppies are generally ready for pickup around 8 weeks old.
